Hi, I'm Noah
My journey into design is fueled by the challenge of merging aesthetics with functionality, ensuring that every project looks great and feels right to the user.
My work
My work has consisted of a variety of projects completed through the Berkeley UX/UI program over the last six months. These projects have ranged from collaborative efforts to individual initiatives, showcasing a diverse skill set and adaptability.
Group Projects:
-Redesign for The Department of Energy: Worked with a team to enhance the usability and visual appeal of the department’s website, focusing on user engagement and accessibility.
-Mental Health America: Collaborated on a project to revamp the organization’s digital presence, aiming to improve user interaction and resource accessibility for individuals seeking mental health support.
-GameVenture: Worked with other group members to create an innovative indie gaming platform designed to bridge the gap between game developers and players by enhancing game discovery, feedback, and community engagement.
Solo Projects:
-Group Travel Apps: Developed a user-friendly application designed to streamline the planning and coordination of group travel, incorporating features for itinerary management, communication, and budgeting.
-Happy Hour Finders: Created an innovative app that helps users locate the best happy hour deals in their vicinity, integrating user reviews, real-time updates, and personalized recommendations.
-Coded Portfolio: I coded an entire portfolio for myself (not this one) using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
These projects have honed my abilities in user research, wireframing, UI analysis, and design implementation, allowing me to deliver effective and aesthetically pleasing solutions.
my skills
Color Theory + Typography
I have a strong foundation in color theory and typography, enabling me to create visually appealing and cohesive designs. My understanding of color psychology and font pairing ensures that my designs are not only aesthetically pleasing but also effective in conveying the intended message.
UI Analysis and Patterns
I excel in analyzing user interfaces and identifying patterns that enhance usability and user experience. My ability to recognize successful UI elements allows me to design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that meet the needs of diverse user groups.
User Research
Conducting thorough user research is a cornerstone of my design process. I utilize various research methods to gather valuable insights into user behavior, preferences, and pain points. These insights inform my design decisions, ensuring that the final product is tailored to the users’ needs and expectations.
Wireframes
Creating detailed wireframes is a key part of my workflow. I design wireframes that serve as the blueprint for the final product, outlining the structure and functionality of each screen. This process helps in visualizing the user journey and ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
